Because of the things that happen, Brock and Zack become much closer, yet Zack is always afraid that he will hurt Brock because his shifter side is stronger than his humanity. Brock’s ex, K, isn’t who he says he is and tries to manipulate Brock. Zack begins to realize that he has feelings for Brock when his jealousy gets the better of him. The one true friend he has is his roommate Jordy. He and Brock have trouble getting along at first.Brock spends a lot of nights getting laid as he hunts for the love that is missing in his life. But Zack is extremely damaged from what was done to him. Zack is part of the team ever since John freed him in Siberia. He is assigned to watch over Brock, but because of the things that were done to him in captivity, he says all the wrong things when he gets flustered. Zack is a wolverine shifter, but he doesn’t want Brock to know. He happened upon the house as they were leaving. They didn’t even tell him they were moving.

I knew this book would be awesome, but it exceeded my expectations.Brock is the son of Aphrodite, and as such, men lust after him all the time. Sandrine has gone above and beyond in how she expressed the facets of it. Suicide is a huge factor in this book, and having had to deal with this subject in my own world, I was concerned how it would play out. This one is so much more because it deals with difficult situations with amazing compassion. Review 2: I am so addicted to this series! The assassin/ shifter series never fails to deliver an intense, incredible story that grips you from page one. I absolutely love the series. more ter dislikes the feelings he is having for Brock. Selected to be Brocks Guardian, he finds himself battling his shifter side because his shif. While he was in captivity they altered his shifter side and it makes him a little unstable. He just hopes he can get to the real Zack before it tears him apart, all the while he and his group defend themselves against the Titans and their rogue army.
He can't figure out why he's "the one", but he is.
The one person that seems to draw him like no other is Zack, but Zack seems to hate him and acts like an asshole. He wants the relationship, not just another meaningless hook up. He can make anyone lust for him, but what he craves, what he needs, what he has never had, even from his adoptive parents, is someone to love him.
